People for Peace and Defence of Rights
Job Description
The MEAL Officer will support the organisation in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning processes across programmes and projects. The role involves collecting, analysing and reporting data to ensure programme quality, accountability to beneficiaries, and evidence-based decision-making. The MEAL Officer will work closely with programme teams to track progress, document impact, and support learning and improvement of project implementation.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and support implementation of MEAL frameworks, tools and systems for ongoing projects
- Participate in planning, monitoring and evaluation activities for projects and programmes
- Conduct field data collection, surveys, assessments, and beneficiary follow-ups
- Ensure accurate data entry, management, cleaning and verification
- Analyse project data and prepare timely reports, dashboards and MEAL updates
- Support documentation of project successes, lessons learned, and best practices
- Strengthen accountability mechanisms, including feedback and complaints handling systems
- Work with programme teams to ensure quality implementation and results tracking
- Contribute to proposal development by providing MEAL input and evidence
- Support knowledge sharing, learning and organisational improvement initiatives
