Job Description
EASSI is looking for an MEL Officer who will ensure that the project interventions are not only implemented but are impactful, inclusive, and sustainable. One who will transform data into actionable insights, enabling the project to achieve its vision of resilient economic opportunities and improved well-being for marginalised communities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
M&E System Development and Implementation
- Design, implement, and manage the project’s Monitoring and Evaluation framework, tools, and processes.
- Establish baselines, indicators, and targets aligned with project objectives and donor requirements.
- Ensure integration of gender-sensitive and inclusive indicators, particularly focusing on young women and marginalised groups.
Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting
- Coordinate regular data collection across project implementation sites and ensure quality assurance.
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to measure progress, outcomes, and impact.
- Prepare timely, evidence-based reports for donors, stakeholders, and management committees.
Capacity Building and Technical Support
- Train project staff, partners, and stakeholders on M&E tools, participatory approaches, and reporting standards.
- Provide technical guidance to ensure effective monitoring of inclusive trade and resilience-building interventions.
Learning, Accountability, and Knowledge Management
- Facilitate learning sessions to share best practices, lessons, and innovations.
- Promote adaptive management by feeding back findings into program design and implementation.
- Ensure accountability mechanisms are in place for beneficiaries, especially vulnerable groups.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to donor requirements, organisational policies, and ethical standards in data management.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies based on monitoring findings
