Job Description

The Maternity Matron will be responsible for managing maternity operations, ensuring the provision of safe, efficient, and compassionate care to clients. The successful candidate will lead a team of healthcare professionals, uphold clinical standards, and promote best practices in maternal and reproductive health. This role requires strong clinical expertise, adherence to nursing standards, and a client-focused approach to service delivery.

The Maternity Matron will also participate in staff supervision, performance reviews, and continuous professional development while maintaining compliance with all nursing regulations and facility protocols.

How to Apply

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.

  • Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya and holds a valid Practice License.

  • At least 4 years of nursing experience in a reputable hospital or medical facility.

  • Management training is an added advantage.

  • Practicing knowledge of Sexual and Reproductive Health is desirable.

  • A Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery with a Higher Diploma in Anaesthesia is an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven clinical experience with a commitment to continuous learning and development.

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • High regard for confidentiality and integrity.
