Project Costing and Profitability Analysis:

• Develop and maintain detailed project cost tracking systems.

• Analyze project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead, to determine project profitability.

• Prepare project cost reports and variance analyses.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to project managers to improve project profitability.

• Monitor project cost to completion and give reports.

Plant Costing and Profitability Analysis:

• Develop and maintain detailed plant cost tracking systems for asphalt, culvert, and stone crushing plants.

• Analyze plant production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead, to determine plant profitability.

• Prepare plant cost reports and variance analyses.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to plant managers to improve plant efficiency and profitability.

• Analyze machine hour rates, and production output to aid in costing.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Develop and manage the company’s annual budget and forecasts.

• Prepare budget variance analyses and provide insights into performance against budget.

• Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and planning.

• Prepare cash flow forecasts.

Performance Reporting and Analysis:

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance.

• Prepare and present regular financial reports to management, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.

• Analyze equipment utilization.

Financial Analysis and Decision Support:

• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

• Evaluate the financial implications of proposed projects and investments.

• Provide financial advice and support to management on a variety of financial matters.

• Analyze the financial impact of procurement decisions.

Inventory valuation and costing:

• Participate in inventory costing and valuation.

• Analyse inventory losses, and recommend improvements.
