Job Description
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler III develops comprehensive job plans and milestone schedules for major events/turnarounds and routine maintenance. Responsibilities include defining scope, resources, durations, costs, and safety plans; preparing work packages with procedures, drawings (P&IDs/isometrics), and QA/QC steps; validating site conditions via walk-downs; and coordinating multi-discipline planners and execution teams. The role partners with schedulers to build/optimize integrated Gantt schedules (critical/near-critical path analysis), manages change orders and scope changes, tracks progress against milestones, and updates plans using execution feedback. Additional duties include materials planning (long-lead/short-term), contractor bid/award support, logistics/site mobilization & demobilization, PSSR punch-listing, and stewardship of look-ahead schedules, budgets, and contractor utilization—driving best practices and safety.

How to Apply
Create detailed job plans (steps, durations, resources, safety plans, procedures, drawings/specs, materials/equipment lists, total hours, cost estimates).
Build milestone plans and integrated event/turnaround schedules (critical-path analysis) with the Scheduler; maintain progress and look-ahead updates.
Coordinate multi-craft planning (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, rotating, analyzers, fixed equipment).
Conduct field walk-downs; verify plans with prints/drawings; prepare PSSR checklists and punch lists; confirm milestone achievement with execution.
Manage scope changes, field change orders, and approved plan revisions; maintain detailed line-item work lists.
Plan materials (long-lead/short-term), spares, tools, and equipment; open work orders; steward logistics, security, and site mobilization/demobilization.
Support contractor management: work-package readiness, bid/award, selection/evaluation; verify execution per plan.
Ensure safety integration (permits, JSAs), quality requirements, and compliance with turnaround procedures; participate in IR/TR reviews and peer assists.
Report on budgets, progress, critical path, and contractor utilization; capture lessons learned and best practices/MEV technologies.
Prepare clear tasking details to guide field crews for safe, efficient repair and construction.

Education: BA/BSc/HND; advanced degree (MBA/MSc/MA) is an advantage.
Experience: 10–20 years in maintenance planning/scheduling or closely related roles in oil & gas/industrial facilities.
Technical: Strong knowledge of piping, welding, boilermaking, rotating equipment, electrical/instrumentation, NDT/X-ray basics; proficient with mechanical drawings, blueprints, isometrics, P&IDs; able to red-line/interpret field changes.
Planning Tools: Intermediate MS Word/Excel/Outlook; familiarity with turnaround procedures and integrated schedule development (Gantt/CPM).
HSE & Processes: Safety champion; knowledgeable in MOC and PSSR; trained in permit systems; PPE/SCBA readiness; ability to access scaffolds/ladders and field areas safely.
Soft Skills: Strong coordination, communication, and teamwork across multiple workgroups; cost/efficiency mindset; problem-solving and decision-making.
Physical Requirements: Frequent standing/walking/climbing; occasional stooping/crawling; ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally; close-vision tasks.
