Job Description
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc is seeking a Logistics Assistant to support logistics and dispatch operations for Golden Penny Foods. The role involves coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of goods in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide updates to stakeholders on delivery status while resolving delays where necessary.
- Prepare and maintain logistics documentation including invoices, shipping records, and inventory reports.
- Liaise with transporters, warehouse teams, and suppliers to ensure efficient logistics operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock reconciliation to prevent discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards in logistics operations.
- Support the logistics team in resolving transportation issues and optimizing delivery routes.
- Verify shipment details and reconcile discrepancies with suppliers and transporters.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of logistics records and reports.
- Assist in preparing logistics performance reports on efficiency, costs, and operational improvements.
