Job Description
Child Life-Line is seeking a dedicated Live-In Caregiver / Social Worker to manage the daily care and development of children in a residential home setting. The successful candidate will provide emotional, social, and educational support while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Minimum of B.Sc. in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Child Development and Family Studies, Guidance & Counselling
- Provide daily care and supervision for children in the residential home.
- Support children's emotional, social, educational, and behavioral development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment at all times.
- Monitor children's routines, including feeding, hygiene, medication, school attendance, and recreation.
- Prepare and submit case notes, incident reports, and progress updates.
- Conduct basic counseling and psychosocial support sessions where necessary.
- Accompany children to schools, hospitals, therapy sessions, and other appointments when required.
- Support family tracing, reunification, and follow-up activities where applicable.
- Work closely with the social work and child protection team to implement care plans.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Participate in staff meetings and trainings to further enhance your skills on the job.
