MARU Credit is seeking an experienced and highly driven Legal Manager to lead all legal, regulatory and governance matters across the institution. This role is critical to ensuring full regulatory compliance, proactive legal risk management and strong legal support for business growth.
Job Summary:
The Legal Manager will oversee legal advisory, regulatory compliance, contract management, litigation and corporate governance. The role partners closely with senior management, the Board and internal teams to safeguard the institution’s interests while enabling sustainable growth.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide practical legal advice on commercial, financial, employment and operational matters
- Identify and manage legal and regulatory risks across products, partnerships and strategic initiatives
- Interpret and advise on applicable financial sector laws and regulatory requirements
- Support regulatory inspections, audits and enforcement actions
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts including loan agreements, security documents, SLAs and partnerships
- Manage litigation, disputes and external legal counsel
- Advise the Board and management on corporate governance and statutory compliance
- Develop legal policies, templates and conduct internal legal awareness sessions
