1. Ensure the timely and accurate filing of court documents
a) Receive and record documents/ pleadings for filing from respective officers.
b) File all documents assigned within the set timelines and obtain proof of filing.
c) Raise assessments for the requisite filing fees and ensure that filing fees are paid.
d) Ensure follow-up for all documents filed on ECCMIS for endorsement by the Court Registrar.
e) Check on the URA ECCMIS account regularly and ensure that URA is linked to all court cases where they are a party.
f) Extracting orders and hearing notices and ensuring service to relevant parties.
2. Service of court documents and related correspondence.
a) Receive and record all documents for service.
b) Serve all documents assigned within the set timelines and document proof of service.
c) Follow up on documents served and update the line manager.
3. Efficiently manage and maintain an up-to-date register of case files within the section, ensuring accurate tracking of their status and location
a) Maintain an up-to-date register of case files in the line section.
b) Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on the status and location of case files.
c) Support storage and retrieval of case files upon request by case officers.
d) Photocopying, compiling and binding of court documents like Records of Appeals and Submissions.
e) Creation of new files for new cases received as may be guided by the line manager.
4. Certification and verification of Court Orders served on URA
a) Certifying of court documents like Court Orders, Decrees, Letters of Administration and any other document served on URA as and when it is required.
b) Extracting orders and hearing notices and ensuring service to relevant parties.

Essential Requirements
a) Diploma in Law from a recognized academic institution
b) At least two (02) years of experience as a legal clerk in a reputable organization.
c) An impeccable record of integrity.
Desirable Requirements
a) Licensed Process Server
b) Experience in using the Court Electronic Case Management Information System (ECCMIS)
c) Training in Office Administration or records management.
Knowledge
a) Knowledge of Court procedures.
b) Knowledge of the law.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
a) High proficiency in the use of computer applications for report writing and research (Knowledge of MS Office required)
b) Knowledge of the law
c) Excellent command of the English language - both spoken and written
d) A team player and a good negotiator
