Job Description
The Laboratory Technician Trainee is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates and diploma holders who are eager to start a career in laboratory operations within a manufacturing and food processing environment. The Trainee will receive on-the-job training in quality control, testing procedures, and laboratory safety while supporting the production and quality assurance teams to ensure products meet required standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting routine laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Support sample preparation, labeling, and documentation.
- Help maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration and cleanliness.
- Record test results accurately and report any deviations to supervisors.
- Assist in monitoring quality parameters and production processes.
- Follow laboratory safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Laboratory Supervisor or Quality Control Manager.
