Job Description
The IT Technician will be responsible for installing and maintaining computer systems and networks, diagnosing hardware and software faults, and solving technical and application problems. The role requires an individual who is both proactive and reactive in resolving IT issues, ensuring minimal disruption to the organization’s daily operations. This position also involves maintaining system security and managing software updates and backups in line with organizational protocols.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests
Provide technical support across the foundation
Set up accounts for new users
Repair and replace equipment as necessary
Maintain records of software licenses
Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
Assist in IT-related procurement and inventory management

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Diploma or Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
At least 1–2 years of experience in IT support or technician role
Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
