Job Description

Interns will support projects and initiatives across different departments within the Foundation. This includes assisting in program implementation, research, stakeholder engagement, administration, and reporting. Interns will benefit from professional mentorship, structured onboarding, e-learning opportunities, and exposure to international development practices.

The internship program is aligned with the Foundation’s mission to enable young Africans to access dignified and fulfilling work, thereby driving inclusive social and economic transformation.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of programs related to youth employment, education, and entrepreneurship.

  • Conduct research and data analysis to inform decision-making.

  • Assist with reporting, knowledge management, and documentation of lessons learned.

  • Participate in stakeholder engagement, workshops, and learning sessions.

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for events, training, or partner meetings.

  • Collaborate across teams to ensure effective program delivery and internal operations.

  • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance youth-centered programming.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support the Foundation’s strategy.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized institution.

  • Recent graduate with 0–4 years of experience.

Preferred Backgrounds (depending on placement)

  • Programs: Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Entrepreneurship.

  • Impact, Research & Learning: Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business Statistics, Population Studies.

  • Technology: Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Data Analysis.

  • Finance: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration.

  • Legal & Compliance: Law, International Relations, Criminal Justice.

  • Public Affairs & Communications: Communications, Journalism, Public Affairs, Media.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite or Google Workspace.
