Job Description
Under the guidance of a senior officer, the Internal Auditor will conduct audits based on the approved annual work plan. This includes reviewing financial statements, evaluating control systems, assessing compliance with policies and regulations, and detecting risks and fraud. The officer will assist in preparing audit reports, documenting findings and recommendations, and following up on the implementation of corrective actions. The role also includes investigating suspected fraud and advising on preventive measures.

How to Apply
Perform audit assignments aligned with the approved audit plan.
Review financial statements and operational procedures for compliance and accuracy.
Conduct substantive and compliance testing of financial records and documents.
Prepare audit working papers and provide input for audit reports.
Evaluate the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal control systems.
Identify areas of risk and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
Track the implementation status of audit recommendations.
Investigate potential fraud and provide advice on prevention measures.
Maintain accurate documentation of audit findings and conclusions.
Communicate audit results clearly and effectively to management.
Carry out any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (Finance/Accounting) or a related field from a recognized university.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Associate of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA).
Membership in good standing with ICPAK or any other recognized professional body.
KCSE mean grade of C+ or its equivalent.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
