Job Description
Reporting to the Director, Internal Audit, the Internal Auditor I (Systems Audit) will support the audit department in conducting systems audits, evaluating ICT internal controls, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and standards. The role involves identifying risks, recommending improvements, and providing objective assurance to strengthen governance and operational efficiency. The officer will prepare reports, maintain audit records, and follow up on corrective actions to ensure accountability and alignment with the organization’s objectives.
Remuneration & Terms (Summary):
Salary Scale: Ksh. 112,650 – 180,900 p.m.
House Allowance: Ksh. 28,000 p.m.
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 8,000 p.m.
Leave Allowance: One month basic salary (once yearly)
Annual Leave: 30 working days per financial year
Pension & Insurance: As provided by BRS schemes
Terms of Service: Permanent and pensionable

How to Apply
Conduct systems audits to assess effectiveness of ICT controls, data integrity, and security.
Review compliance of ICT systems with relevant policies, regulations, and standards.
Provide independent assurance on risk management and internal control frameworks.
Identify weaknesses in ICT systems and recommend corrective measures.
Support in auditing revenue, expenditure, and ICT-related financial processes.
Prepare audit working papers, findings, and comprehensive reports for management.
Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.
Provide advisory support on governance, risk, and compliance matters.
Undertake any other audit assignments consistent with the role.
Kenyan citizen.
At least three (3) years’ experience as a systems auditor.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance option), Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
Certificate in computer applications.
Active membership in a relevant professional body in good standing.
Strong understanding of ICT systems, internal controls, and risk management.
Demonstrated professional competence with strong performance record.
Must meet the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (valid clearances from KRA, HELB, EACC, Police, and CRB).
