Job Description
The Internal Auditor -IT will report to the Senior Internal Auditor – IT. She/He will be responsible for reviewing the adequacy and effectiveness of the IT internal control documentation and continued development of internal control software tool utilized throughout the organization.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include:
- Plan and execute IT audits in alignment with the annual audit plan and professional standards. Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls, including security, access management, system configurations, and data integrity.
- Review IT policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments for new and existing IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.
- Perform compliance testing of IT internal controls and report findings to management.
- Evaluate changes in IT systems and processes, ensuring proper controls are implemented and maintained.
- Identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures to strengthen IT governance and risk management.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to provide guidance on control improvements and remediation activities.
- Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, risks, and actionable recommendations. Support continuous improvement of internal control frameworks and audit methodologies, including the enhancement of audit tools and techniques Track audit findings for implementation and closure by internal departments.
