Job Description
The Internal Audit Clerk will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The role involves performing internal audits, reviewing financial and operational systems, and providing recommendations to enhance efficiency and compliance. The successful candidate will support the audit team in planning and executing audit assignments, documenting findings, and ensuring accurate reporting.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, accuracy of financial records, and operational efficiency.
Identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements.
Assist in the preparation of audit plans and schedules.
Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and actionable recommendations.
Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards.
Liaise with departments to support compliance and risk mitigation efforts.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business-related field.
Professional qualification: CPA (minimum Level 4) or ACCA (minimum Level 3).
Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in an audit environment.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite is an added advantage.
