Job Description
Interns will be placed within the Information System & Information Technology Directorate and assigned duties aligned with their field of specialization. The programme provides a supportive environment for learning, continuous development, and exposure to government ICT systems. Successful candidates will benefit from mentorship, hands-on training, and structured work assignments aimed at strengthening technical and professional competencies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist with ICT-related tasks and projects as per field of specialization.
Support system development, programming, and IT operations.
Gain practical experience in information systems management.
Work with mentors and departmental staff on ICT-related duties.
Contribute to the efficient running of ICT services in the Office of the Premier.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
NQF Level 6/7/8 qualification in Information Technology.
Certifications in A+, N+, or Microsoft Programming are advantageous.
Must be a South African citizen and resident of Gauteng Province.
Must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
Unemployed graduate who has NOT previously participated in a government internship programme.
Students who have completed academic theory and require experiential training for qualification completion may also apply.
Strong interest in IT, with analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
