Job Description
Under the supervision of the Programme Management Officer, the intern will assist in developing visual content for social media, events, and publications. Key tasks include designing infographics, charts, and layouts for reports; creating artwork for social media campaigns; editing photos and videos; supporting event branding; and maintaining brand consistency with UN-Habitat guidelines. The intern will also contribute to developing a design and media library, support knowledge management, and review communication performance metrics to adapt design strategies for greater impact.

How to Apply
Assist in implementing PFES’s communication and design strategy.
Design graphics, infographics, and visual reports for outreach campaigns.
Create and edit digital content, including videos, presentations, and promotional materials.
Design and format official publications, reports, and brochures.
Develop templates and artwork for social media campaigns.
Support the editing, archiving, and curation of photos and videos.
Ensure alignment of visuals with UN-Habitat’s corporate identity while applying innovative approaches.
Contribute to branding and visual identity for events and campaigns.
Monitor communication performance metrics and adapt design strategies.
Develop and maintain a design and media library for easy access to visual assets.
EducationApplicants must, at the time of application, meet one of the following:
Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (Master’s level or equivalent).
Be in the final year of a first-level university degree programme (Bachelor’s or equivalent).
Have graduated with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree (within the past two years).
Preferred Areas of StudyCommunication, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, International Development, or related fields relevant to sustainable urban development.
Experience and Skills
No professional work experience required, but relevant academic background is essential.
Experience in urban design, communication, or graphic design is desirable.
Writing and research skills are an asset.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Suite, Canva, and related tools is desirable.
Experience with social media management is an advantage.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
