Job Description
Under the supervision of the Client Services Officer, the intern will participate in technical and support activities across units within the Client Services Section. The role includes developing Power BI dashboards, managing data structures, analyzing survey results, preparing reports, testing automated processes, and assisting end-users with troubleshooting. Interns will gain exposure to the operations of RSCE and the broader UN system while building technical and service delivery competencies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Job shadowing in Client Relations & Knowledge Management and Client Support Units
Design and develop MS Power BI dashboards and reports
Create and manage MS Excel data models
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems
Design and analyze client service surveys
Draft reports using Microsoft 365 tools
Perform QA and testing for automated processes
Troubleshoot and support client service applications
Participate in learning and development activities within RSCE
Carry out other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Computer Science, IT, Business Information Technology, or a related field
Be in the final year or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Experience:
No work experience required
Desirable: Experience with Microsoft 365 suite, Power BI, and Excel for analytics and dashboards
Competencies:
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication; ability to tailor content to different audiences
Teamwork: Works effectively with others, values diversity, and supports team goals
Planning & Organizing: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
