Job Description
As the Implementation Officer, you will serve as the primary liaison for new clients from the point of engagement through deployment. Your main responsibility is to ensure seamless onboarding, training, and platform adoption. The role involves regular field visits, client training, troubleshooting, and providing feedback to improve the product. You will work closely with both the client’s field and headquarters teams, as well as internally with the product development team.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Client Implementation & Training (60%)
Set up and activate new client accounts on the AgTech platform.
Conduct field visits and train agribusiness staff and field agents.
Implement and oversee deployment plans across various levels of operations.
Drive adoption of core workflows like contract setup, data collection, monitoring, and reporting.
Customize training and onboarding support for each client.
Client Relationship & Support (30%)
Serve as the primary point of contact during the initial stages of implementation.
Foster trust through responsive communication and problem-solving.
Track onboarding milestones and maintain client satisfaction.
Transition clients smoothly to the Account Management team.
Platform Feedback & Insights (10%)
Collect and report on client feedback and field insights.
Identify bugs or user friction and communicate with the product team.
Compare implementation experiences with competitors or legacy systems.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, IT, Rural Development, or a related field.
At least 5 years’ experience in agribusiness operations, client service, or deployment of digital tools.
Key Competencies:
Strong client-centric attitude.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
Self-driven with a high sense of ownership and autonomy.
Fluent in English and Swahili.
Technologically inclined and quick to adapt to new digital platforms.
Analytical problem solver with multitasking ability.
Willing to travel regionally, including on short notice.
Proactive and entrepreneurial approach to project challenges.
