Job Description
The HR Manager will lead all human resource functions, ensuring the company attracts, develops, and retains a high-performing workforce to support growth in manufacturing, distribution, and sales operations. The successful candidate will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and training initiatives while ensuring full compliance with local labor laws.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the recruitment for sales teams, factory workers, and office staff
- Work hand-in-hand with hiring the hiring manager to develop hiring plans aligned with expansion into new markets
- Manage employee engagement and retention strategies
- Handle disciplinary processes and conflict resolution
- Promote a performance-driven and ethical work culture
- Design and implement KPIs across departments (especially sales teams)
- Support managers in performance reviews and improvement plans
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs
- Develop onboarding programs for new hires, especially field staff
- Ensure competitive and fair salary structures
- Oversee payroll, incentives (especially sales commissions), and benefits
- Ensure compliance with Ugandan labor laws
- Maintain employee records and HR systems
- Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures
