Job Description
The intern will be engaged in supporting the HR Operations and Services Teams with general HR administrative functions. Tasks will include assisting with recruitment logistics, preparing HR correspondence, supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, updating staff records, and managing insurance and medical scheme documents. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional HR environment within an international research organization.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide general administrative support to the HR Office
Assist with recruitment: job postings, application handling, shortlisting, and interview logistics
Facilitate reference checks and follow-ups
Draft HR documents: offer letters, contracts, confirmation, and renewal letters
Support new employee onboarding scheduling
Help prepare consultancy contracts and standard HR letters
Update staff master lists and handle insurance/medical invoices and requisitions
Assist with filing and updating both physical and electronic personnel records
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management
At least 1 year of experience in HR administrative support
Familiarity with country labor laws and HR information systems
Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills
Proficiency in IT and fluent in written and spoken English
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse, multicultural environment
