Job Description
The Housekeeping Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. The role acts as a link between housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, maintenance, and the front office to ensure smooth communication and efficient service delivery.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily housekeeping schedules and room assignments.
- Liaise with the Front Office to update room status and prioritize guest requirements.
- Monitor cleanliness and readiness of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Track housekeeping supplies, linens, and amenities, and report shortages.
- Record and follow up on maintenance issues reported by housekeeping staff.
- Handle guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate housekeeping records, reports, and logs.
- Ensure compliance with hotel hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
- Support housekeeping supervisors in staff coordination and service improvement.
