Job Description
As a Hotel Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure atmosphere by monitoring and patrolling the premises, enforcing access control protocols, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with law enforcement when necessary. You will monitor surveillance systems, record security activities, and ensure compliance with all relevant protocols to uphold the safety of all hotel occupants.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Patrol hotel premises to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or vandalism
Monitor surveillance equipment and respond promptly to alarms or incidents
Enforce access control procedures and verify identity of all visitors and guests
Conduct regular security checks across all designated areas
Document security activities, incidents, and observations in detailed logs
Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies, accidents, or threats
Provide assistance and support to guests and hotel staff as needed
Report security breaches or suspicious activity to management
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary
Follow all hotel security procedures, safety regulations, and policies

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum of FSLC, NCE, OND, or equivalent education
2–15 years’ experience in security or related roles
Strong observational and surveillance skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Physically fit with the ability to handle stressful or emergency situations
Familiarity with security protocols, systems, and procedures
Integrity, alertness, and attention to detail
Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
