Job Description
The CCTV Operator will be responsible for monitoring real-time footage across various CCTV systems to detect suspicious or unauthorized activity within the facility. The role requires accurate documentation of incidents, collaboration with the security team, and regular maintenance checks on equipment. The ideal candidate must be attentive, technically skilled, and capable of responding promptly to security breaches or irregularities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Monitor and review live CCTV footage for any suspicious activity or security threats
Document all surveillance activities and maintain logs during assigned shifts
Report incidents or irregularities to security authorities and senior management promptly
Assist with internal security audits and suggest improvements to surveillance protocols
Coordinate with the security team to optimize the positioning and effectiveness of cameras
Perform regular functionality checks and maintenance on CCTV equipment

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
Experience:
2–4 years of experience in CCTV surveillance, preferably in a manufacturing or corporate environment
Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and high level of alertness
Good communication and reporting skills
Familiarity with CCTV software and hardware systems
Ability to work independently and handle emergencies
Must be resident in Abuja
