Job Summary:
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will support Mildmay Hospital Uganda’s (MHUg) M&E functions by tracking program progress, assessing effectiveness, and ensuring accountability. Through systematic data collection, analysis, and reporting, the officer will deliver evidence-based insights to guide decision-making, improve program performance, and demonstrate impact to stakeholders, donors, and beneficiaries.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Quantitative Economics, Statistics, Population Studies, or a related field. Postgraduate qualification in M&E is preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, ideally within the health sector.

  • Proficient in project implementation reporting.

  • Experience with patient management systems such as UEMR and Clinic Master.

  • Knowledge of PEPFAR indicators and reporting systems.

  • Experience working with Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) and OVC MIS.

  • Strong background in M&E, research, data management, and quality management systems (QMS).

  • Advanced computer skills, including ODK, STATA, SPSS, MS Excel, and MS Access.
