The Health Project Officer will be responsible for overseeing the operation of a Health Care Clinic and community health programs, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Officer will develop health program strategies and plans, collaborating with local health authorities and stakeholders to improve health outcomes in the target communities.
Program Oversight: Ensure the effective operation and management of the Health Care Clinic and community health programs.
Quality Healthcare Services: Ensure that healthcare services provided align with relevant guidelines and quality standards.
Program Strategy: Develop comprehensive health program strategies and plans, addressing community health needs.
Collaboration and Networking: Collaborate with local health authorities, partners, and stakeholders to enhance program impact and reach.
Staff Supervision: Provide leadership and supervision to healthcare teams, promoting excellence in service delivery.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess program impact and outcomes.
Training and Capacity Building: Organize training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare staff including the community members where the need arises.
Advocacy: Advocate for improved healthcare policies and services in collaboration with government health authorities.
Budget Management: Contribute to the development and management of program budgets, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
Compliance – Liase with Ugandan Government Health authorities and ensure all procedures are compliant with the Ugandan law

Medical or Public Health degree or diploma with relevant certifications.
Minimum 5 years of experience in managing health programs or health facilities.
Knowledge of healthcare systems in Uganda and community health approaches.
Experience in leading and supervising healthcare teams.
Ability to collaborate effectively with government health authorities and stakeholders.
