Bunyangabu is bordered by Kabarole District to the north, Kamwenge District to the East, Kasese District to the South and Bundibugyo District to the West. The town of Kibiito, where the District headquarters are located, is approximately 33 kilometres (21 mi) by road, Southwest of Fort Portal, the largest city in Toro Sub-region. This is approximately 330 kilometres (205mi), by road, West of Kampala, the Capital and largest city of Uganda.

Organizing and Managing Health Information Data:
The Health Information Assistant ensures the quality, accuracy, accessibility, and security of health information, both in paper and electronic systems.
They maintain patient records, treatment histories, and other relevant data.
Coding and Categorizing Patient Information:
Using various classification systems, they code and categorize patient information.
This coding is essential for insurance reimbursement purposes, maintaining databases, and creating registries.
Mobilizing communities for development projects and programmes
Administrative Duties:
Health Information Assistants handle related administrative tasks.
They may also manage front desk and telephone responsibilities.

An associate’s degree is preferred.
Prior experience in medical records, medical billing, or computer operations (especially in community health) is beneficial.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with a typing speed of 50 words per minute, is required.
