Job Description

The position of Health Information Assistant is available at Apac District Local Government and Apac Municipal Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate record-keeping, data management, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. They will work closely with healthcare teams to support informed decision-making and improve service delivery.

Applications should be submitted in triplicate, handwritten on Public Service Commission Form 3 (revised 2008), to the following address:

District Service Commission,
P.O. Box 1,
Apac District, Uganda.


Applications should include three sets of certified photocopies of academic transcripts, pass slips, identity cards from all institutions attended, registration and annual practicing license (where applicable), three recent passport-sized photographs, and any other relevant documents.

Serving officers should route their applications through their respective Heads of Departments or responsible officers for endorsement. Applicants with disabilities should indicate “PWD” in brackets after their names on the application form.

  • Possession of a valid National Identity Card.

  • At least a Diploma in Medical Records and Health Information Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive data and maintain confidentiality.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and data management skills.

  • Computer literacy with proficiency in data entry and analysis software.
