Job Description
ABAHIZI SACCO NGOMA (ASN) is seeking a qualified Head of Internal Audit and Compliance to lead its internal audit department and ensure regulatory compliance. The role involves managing risks, establishing internal control checklists, and submitting regular audit reports to the Central Bank.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor day-to-day running of the Internal Audit & Compliance department
- Establish the internal control checklist as per Central Bank regulations
- Submit regular internal audit reports to the Central Bank as required
- Advise management on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards
- Assist management in effectively managing the cooperative's risk
- Review risk measurement and stress testing on future liquidity shocks
- Oversee and manage all audit and internal control operations
- Develop the audit plan and prepare and deliver timely audit reports
- Verify that resolutions of SACCO organs and instructions from NBR/RCA are implemented
- Report functionally to the Audit Committee and administratively to the Managing Director
