Job Description

Lead formulation and execution of HR & Admin strategies, policies, and annual work plans aligned to SRC’s strategic plan; drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, development, reward and retention; embed a robust performance management system; ensure optimal provision of office support services, security, utilities, assets and employee benefits; steward departmental budgeting, reporting, and prudent resource use; champion organizational culture and stakeholder engagement; ensure compliance with statutes, circulars, and Chapter Six; identify and mitigate risks; develop a business continuity plan; coach and mentor staff; and provide secretariat support/papers to corporate committees.

  1. Education & Professional

  2. Master’s degree in HRM or related field; Bachelor’s degree in HRM or related discipline.

  3. Diploma in HRM or CHRP; Certificate in Leadership (recognized institution).

  4. Valid HR Practising Certificate; Member of IHRM in good standing.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years relevant service, with 4 years in a managerial role in a comparable reputable organization.

Skills & Attributes

  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation/standards; strategic mindset and innovation.

  • Ability to build and lead high-performing teams; deliver results in complex environments.

  • Customer service orientation; negotiation, interpersonal skills, and strong attention to detail.

  • Meets Chapter Six requirements of the Constitution of Kenya.
