Job Description
The Head of Fundraising will oversee program and proposal development, lead donor cultivation and stewardship efforts, and manage grant writing and reporting processes. The role involves spearheading major fundraising campaigns, identifying new funding opportunities, and providing leadership across regional offices to enhance fundraising capacity. The incumbent will foster cross-functional collaboration with policy, advocacy, partnerships, and program teams, while representing the Foundation in donor meetings, conferences, and networking events. They will also monitor fundraising performance, ensure compliance with regulations and donor requirements, and provide technical training in resource mobilization for staff and subsidiaries.

How to Apply
Lead program development and proposal submissions with internal and external stakeholders.
Cultivate and steward donor relationships (individuals, corporations, foundations, multilateral institutions).
Plan, implement, and evaluate fundraising campaigns (annual appeals, capital campaigns, special events).
Oversee grant writing, compliance, and reporting processes to meet funder requirements.
Develop regional fundraising strategies aligned with KCB Foundation’s strategic goals.
Provide technical training and capacity building on proposal development and resource mobilization.
Collaborate with partnerships, policy, and advocacy teams to generate new funding opportunities.
Ensure compliance with donor requirements, regulations, and internal policies.
Represent KCB Foundation at donor meetings, conferences, and stakeholder events.
Prepare timely reports on fundraising activities, budgets, and outcomes for stakeholders.

Education & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Required).
Professional qualifications in fundraising/resource mobilization/program implementation (Added Advantage).
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing, Project Management, Social Sciences, or Communication (Added Advantage).
Experience
Minimum 8 years’ experience in donor fundraising and proposal development (Essential).
Proven track record of raising at least Ksh 1 billion annually (Desirable).
5 years’ experience in program development (Essential).
4 years’ experience in partnership management (Essential).
Experience in research (3 years, Desirable).
Experience in monitoring and evaluation (2 years, Desirable).
Core Competencies
Exceptional donor cultivation, negotiation, and stewardship skills.
Strong expertise in proposal, concept note, and idea note development.
Proven leadership in fundraising campaigns and institutional resource mobilization.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong strategic planning, analytical, and organizational abilities.
Capacity to manage diverse teams across regions.
