Job Description
The successful candidate will lead the design and governance of secure enterprise and cloud architectures, applying Zero Trust principles and enforcing security standards. Responsibilities include conducting technical risk assessments, supporting identity and access management implementation, evaluating and optimising security tools, and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and healthcare regulatory requirements. The role requires extensive expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure security, advanced understanding of security frameworks, and hands-on experience in network security, threat modelling, and cloud security posture management. The Group Security Architect will work closely with divisional teams, architects, and stakeholders to maintain a robust and future-ready security posture across the organisation.

How to Apply
Design and govern secure cloud architecture (Azure, M365, hybrid).
Define and enforce enterprise security standards, frameworks, and Zero Trust principles.
Conduct technical risk assessments and threat modelling for deployments and solution selections.
Lead implementation of Identity and Access Management (IADM) in collaboration with group architects.
Evaluate, select, and optimise security tools such as EDR, SIEM, CASB.
Provide guidelines and implement measures for network security.
Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with enterprise risk appetite.
Stay abreast of emerging security trends, particularly in healthcare.

Essential Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or Engineering.
Desired Education: Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert; CISSP/CCSP; Azure Security Engineer Associate.
Essential Experience:
Minimum 10 years in information security, including at least 5 years in a security architecture role.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure security.
Desired Experience:
Experience with regulatory compliance in healthcare (GDPR, POPIA, ADHICS).
Knowledge of CSPM, SASE, DevSecOps, identity governance.
Container security experience (Kubernetes, Docker).
Skills and Knowledge:
Cloud Security Architecture (Azure, M365).
Identity & Access Management (Entra ID, RBAC).
Security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
Network segmentation and Zero Trust.
Information protection (DLP, MIP, MCAS).
SIEM/SOAR platforms (e.g., Sentinel).
Strong knowledge of network and hybrid environments (cloud, on-prem, SD-WAN, SASE).
Understanding of secure design principles and AI security implications.
