Prepare and set up the surface grinding machine, ensuring proper alignment, fixture installation, and calibration of tools.

Examine raw materials for defects, adherence to specifications, and suitability for the grinding process.

Interpret and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine grinding specifications and requirements.

Choose appropriate grinding wheels, abrasives, and dressing tools based on material type, hardness, and desired finish.

Secure workpieces onto the grinding machine using clamps, magnetic chucks, or other fixtures to prevent movement during the grinding process.

Operate the surface grinding machine to grind and finish workpieces, maintaining precise control over depth, feed rate, and wheel speed.

Inspect finished parts for surface finish, dimensions, and overall quality, ensuring adherence to specified tolerances and requirements.

Perform routine maintenance on grinding wheels, dressers, and other accessories to ensure optimal performance and extend tool life.

Identify and address issues such as wheel wear, machine malfunctions, or quality deviations promptly, taking corrective actions as necessary.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe handling of materials, and awareness of potential hazards.

Work closely with other team members, quality control personnel, and supervisors to ensure effective communication and coordination in the manufacturing process.
