Job Summary: MIYA FOR CREATIVES, is seeking a highly analytical and mission-driven Grants & Programs Coordinator. This position requires a person with strong analytical skills, ready to lead our grant acquisition process. You will be instrumental in translating MIYA’s vision into measurable, funded programs that ensure the CLG’s sustainability and maximize its social impact.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Resource Mobilization & Grant Writing
Funder Identification: Proactively research and identify institutional donors, foundations, and corporate CSR programs aligned with MIYA’s Digital Transformation goals.
Proposal Development: Draft compelling grant proposals, concept notes, and letters of intent, including detailed programmatic narratives and measurable objectives (MEL).
Budget Compliance: Work closely with the Founder and Operations Associate to draft grant-specific program budgets, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and URSB financial standards.
Program Implementation & Reporting
Program Coordination: Manage the logistics, scheduling, and execution of grant-funded training programs (e.g., MIYA for Education bootcamps, community meetups).
Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E): Establish and maintain systems for collecting program data, success stories, and beneficiary testimonials required for grant reporting.
Financial Tracking: Track program expenditures against approved grant budgets and prepare required financial documentation for external auditing purposes.
Reporting: Draft timely and accurate programmatic reports and financial acquittal narratives for submission to funders.
Governance & Strategy Support
Assist the Founder with compiling program documentation required for the Founding CLG Board and annual compliance filings.
Provide strategic analysis of program performance to inform future grant application strategy.
Support the integration of Digital Citizenship ethics and security standards into all program curricula.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Development Studies, Project Management, Finance, or a related field.
Entry-Level (0–2 years) experience in a grants, project management, or NGO administration capacity is preferred.
Proven ability to conduct research, analyze data, and produce high-quality written reports.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on budget management and financial tracking.
Passion for Digital Transformation, Digital Citizenship, and youth empowerment in Uganda.
