Job Description
The Graduate Trainee will be responsible for supporting the review, assessment, and improvement of RENU’s ICT infrastructure through audits and analysis. This role involves working alongside experienced professionals to evaluate information systems and networks, ensuring they meet organizational and security standards. The trainee will gain hands-on experience with industry tools, frameworks, and certification practices while contributing to real-world projects that impact Uganda’s education and research ecosystem.

How to Apply
Support audits of information systems and networks
Assist in the assessment of compliance with internal ICT policies and procedures
Contribute to the documentation of audit findings and recommendations
Engage in capacity-building workshops and technical training sessions
Participate in planning and evaluation meetings for ongoing ICT projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system vulnerabilities and propose solutions

Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology from a RENU member university
Minimum CGPA of 4.0
Graduated in 2022, 2023, or 2024 with certified academic transcripts
At least one year of relevant experience
Certificate in JNCIA, COMPTIA A+, COMPTIA Linux+ or currently pursuing CISA is an added advantage
Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
High level of integrity and a desire to grow in the audit and ICT space
