Job Description
Reporting to the Governor’s Communication Office, the interns will be responsible for supporting press and media functions, drafting press releases, documenting county activities, and engaging in public relations initiatives. They will contribute to the effective dissemination of information to the public, support branding initiatives, and strengthen the county’s communication strategy. This role provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain practical experience in journalism, communication, and public relations within the county government setting.

How to Apply
Assist in preparing press releases, speeches, and official statements.
Support media coverage of county events and functions.
Draft and edit articles, features, and social media content.
Monitor local and national media for news relevant to the county.
Assist in photography, videography, and documentation of county activities.
Support branding and public communication initiatives.
Provide general administrative and logistical support to the Governor’s Press Office.
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, or a related field from a recognized university.
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
Familiarity with media and public relations practices.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Creativity, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
Must be of high integrity and demonstrate professionalism.
