Job Description
The General Assistant will play a vital role in daily kitchen operations by helping with meal preparation, particularly salads and desserts, and by ensuring that food is served and presented efficiently. The role involves keeping food stations clean and stocked, managing leftovers, maintaining hygiene across kitchen and dining spaces, and responding to reasonable requests from management. The General Assistant may also support other duties outside the core responsibilities when required.

How to Apply
Assist in the preparation of meals, with a focus on salads and desserts
Place food items such as entrees, salads, and desserts on the serving line
Ensure the serving area remains clean and well-stocked at all times
Record and store leftover food appropriately
Maintain cleanliness of canteen tables, kitchen, and workspaces
Perform any reasonable task requested by management
Support additional duties that may fall outside the standard job scope
Minimum of Grade 12 (National Certificate)
1–2 years’ experience in a similar role
Culinary qualification is an added advantage
Must pass criminal and credit checks
Good hygiene and kitchen safety knowledge
Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
Willingness to take on varied duties and responsibilities
