Job Description
The Fuel System Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for servicing and repairing various components of liquid fuel systems, including fuel pumps, storage tanks, filtration systems, dispensers, and associated infrastructure. The role includes both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure system efficiency and safety. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures, maintain logs and reports, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. This position offers a 12-month renewable assignment, including travel benefits, accommodation, and competitive compensation.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and servicing of aircraft petroleum systems and mobile refuelers
Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) on skids, pumps, valves, and other fuel distribution equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in fuel systems
Maintain accurate maintenance records and input data into Maximo or similar systems
Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and parts
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards
Support emergency repairs and fuel-related incident responses
Work with cross-functional teams to resolve system issues
Maintain familiarity with automated fuel control systems
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma, technical or vocational course graduate
1–3 years of experience in fuel systems or related mechanical maintenance
Certification or technical training in fuel systems or electromechanical maintenance
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with fuel equipment
Proficiency with tools, diagnostic, and maintenance equipment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Good physical condition and ability to work in various climates
Valid driver’s license for manual/automatic transmission
Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends
Must pass overseas medical screening and possess updated COVID vaccination
Preferred Competencies:
Familiarity with Maximo or computerized maintenance management systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
