Job Description
The Front Office Supervisor/Manager will be responsible for the efficient management of front office activities including reservations, guest reception, and client service. This role involves coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery. The candidate will manage front office staff, handle guest concerns, and ensure the proper use of hotel management systems. The position requires leadership, organization, a professional demeanor, and excellent customer service skills.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Supervise and support front office staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Ensure guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations are handled efficiently and professionally
Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously
Maintain updated knowledge of hotel facilities, rates, and promotions
Monitor and manage front office inventory and supplies
Prepare and submit daily reports and shift handovers
Ensure proper use and updating of the Property Management System (PMS)
Train new front office staff and ensure team compliance with standard procedures
Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments for timely service delivery
Uphold front office cleanliness and professional appearance
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field
2–3 years of experience in the Front Office or Sales department of a large hotel or resort
Previous supervisory experience is required
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and hotel Property Management Systems (PMS)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
Pleasant demeanor with quick thinking and problem-solving abilities
