Job Description
DAKS Couriers Limited is seeking a skilled and certified Forklift Operator to join its warehouse team at the Mukono ICD. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of forklifts in the receiving, storage, and verification areas, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor. This is a full-time role based in Mukono.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach stacker, etc.) between receiving, storage, and verification areas.
- Unload incoming containers and load outbound trailers; ensure all goods are centred, securely wrapped, stacked properly, and safely positioned in assigned locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-shift inspections on all equipment at all times; follow all ISO standards and internal health and safety protocols.
- Maintain clear visibility during all operations and immediately report hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Keep forklift stations and work zones clean, orderly, and free of debris at all times.
