Job Description
The role involves overseeing project execution in municipal electrical networks, coordinating teams, ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards, and managing resources effectively. The Foreman will also handle planning, reporting, and monitoring to guarantee that projects are delivered within scope, budget, and timelines while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety compliance.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate operational electrical projects.
Ensure timeous completion of projects within budget and quality standards.
Oversee and support electricians and technical teams in local authority electrical networks.
Monitor compliance with safety and technical requirements.
Manage resources, tools, and equipment for project efficiency.
Report on project progress, risks, and quality control issues.
Work shifts, overtime, and standby when required.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
An appropriate trade certificate as Electrician (Red Seal).
Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience as an electrician in local authority electrical networks.
Supervisory experience will be an added advantage.
A valid Code B driving licence and own transport.
Computer literacy.
Willingness and ability to work shifts, overtime, and standby.
Must undergo a criminal record check and fingerprint verification with Tshwane Metro Police Department (at own cost).
