Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager Job at EBC

Job Description
Our client is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all dining outlets, bars, and banquet facilities. The primary goal is to ensure a high-quality guest experience, maintain strict service standards, and maximize profitability through efficient inventory and cost management.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence & Service Standards
- Supervise the daily operations of the restaurant, bar, and room service to ensure seamless delivery.
- Implement and enforce standardized service protocols (e.g., greeting etiquette, table settings, and "right-of-way" rules for staff).
- Conduct daily pre-shift briefings to communicate menu changes, special guest requirements, and daily targets.
- Ensure all F&B areas maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with QHSE policies.
- Financial Management & Controls
- Monitor and control food and beverage costs (COGS) to meet budget targets.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct weekly stock takes, and minimize wastage or "shrinkage."
- Utilize POS systems (e.g., Poster or IDS Next) to analyze sales trends and generate daily revenue reports.
- Collaborate with the Chef to engineer menus that balance popularity with profitability.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Manage a diverse team of waiters, bartenders, and supervisors, including scheduling and performance appraisals.
- Identify training needs and conduct regular "upskilling" sessions on wine knowledge, mixology, and upselling techniques.
- Ensure all staff adhere to the company’s Code of Conduct and professional grooming standards.
- Guest Experience & Relationship Management
- Proactively engage with guests to gather feedback and handle complaints with a "guest-first" resolution mindset.
- Coordinate with the Tours and Travel department to manage F&B requirements for large groups or special events.
- Innovate seasonal dining experiences or themed nights to enhance the resort’s appeal.
