Job Description
The adviser will engage clients to identify their life assurance and financial planning needs using Absa’s Financial Needs Analysis tools. Responsibilities include preparing and presenting tailored recommendations, ensuring compliance with FAIS regulations, and processing applications through product providers. The adviser will manage a client portfolio, reviewing policies annually, addressing unpaid premiums, and maintaining updated records. The role also includes driving business growth through lead conversion, networking with Everyday Banking stakeholders, and sourcing new opportunities externally. Additionally, the adviser will manage commission earnings, oversee administrative processes, and support practice management by mentoring assistants and interns.

How to Apply
Establish and maintain professional client and stakeholder relationships.
Conduct comprehensive financial needs analyses using Absa’s tools.
Prepare and present personalized financial and insurance solutions.
Ensure compliance with FAIS and banking regulations during all advisory processes.
Meet sales and growth targets through effective client acquisition and portfolio management.
Review client portfolios annually and maintain engagement strategies.
Manage commission earnings, reconcile monthly commission statements, and update client databases.
Follow up on unpaid premiums and policy lapses.
Train, coach, and mentor adviser assistants and interns.
Participate in Absa performance development and staff training initiatives.
Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies (required).
FAIS-recognized qualification and RE5 certification (mandatory).
Evidence of at least 12 months’ commission statements (essential).
Strong knowledge of life assurance, financial planning, and investment products.
Excellent advisory, sales, and negotiation skills.
Strong compliance and regulatory knowledge.
Ability to manage client relationships and meet performance targets.
Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
