Job Description
The Finance Officer is responsible for bookkeeping and maintaining Primary Accounting records.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate books of accounts in line with company policies and statutory requirements & prepare financial statements, management reports, and reconciliations.
Monitor daily cash flows, banking transactions, and petty cash management & ensure timely recording and reconciliation of loan disbursements, repayments, and related transactions.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- 1. Maintain up-to-date and accurate books of accounts in line with company policies and statutory requirements & prepare financial statements, management reports, and reconciliations.
- 2. Monitor daily cash flows, banking transactions, and petty cash management & ensure timely recording and reconciliation of loan disbursements, repayments, and related transactions.
- 3. Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and periodic financial performance reviews.
- 4. Ensure compliance with URA, NSSF, and other statutory obligations.
- 5. Support internal and external audit processes & safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of financial data and any other assigned tasks.
- 6. Complete in a timely manner all processes related to payables and receivables of the company.
- 7. Provide administrative support to the finance function of the company.
