Job Description
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Finance Analyst within our Roastery Business at Volcafe Uganda Ltd. This is a key role within the finance function, positioned to support informed decision-making through high-quality financial analysis and performance reporting. The role reports directly to the Financial Controller
In this role, you will operate in a dynamic commercial environment, taking ownership of delivering insightful financial analysis and clearly articulating business performance across the organization. You will gain broad exposure to core finance processes, working closely with operations and commercial teams to ensure financial results are well understood and aligned with business objectives.
This position provides strong development potential for an individual eager to strengthen their analytical capability, deepen their understanding of business finance, and contribute meaningfully to a fast-paced soft commodities business.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Controllership
- Provision of daily bank/cash reconciliations driving real time posting of financial transactions in
- MS Dynamics 365 ERP not limited to production & sales orders together with invoicing and collections.
- Monitor and analyze stock movements, ensuring variances are fully supported and explained, including yield, production losses, mix, and blending variances.
- Take lead in coordination of the budgeting process, tracking performance with clear commentaries explaining the variances and provide insights to the management.
- Develop a mechanism of harmonizing key performance indicators with attention to plant/operation KPls across the Business to deliver benchmarking and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to the chart of accounts hierarchy in MS Dynamics 365 postings to deliver automation of financial reporting including month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
Performance Manager
- Create Financial performance dashboards including scenarios modelling to identify potential risks and opportunities in business strategies to aiding in quick decision making.
Value manager
- Ensure compliance with all Internal financial and accounting policies and guidelines including authorisation matrixes.
- Ensuring 100% adherence to internal policies, processes and controls to minimise risks and eliminate fraud. (Zero tolerance to controllable losses)
- Assist in developing governance frameworks for data accuracy and compliance
Strategic Partnering
- Champion the automation of financial reports in MS Dynamics 365 ERP.
- Support efficiency and change management opportunities within the Company.
