Job Description

The Finance Analyst will contribute to the financial management, monitoring, and reporting of UNITAC and DAU projects under the supervision of the Unit Heads. Key responsibilities include preparing interim and final grant reports, reviewing budget forecasts, monitoring co-funding and expenditure levels, and ensuring compliance with donor and UN agreements. The consultant will also support programme and project development by contributing to strategic planning, preparing progress reports, synthesizing lessons learned, and organizing workshops or consultations. This role requires familiarity with UN systems, particularly UMOJA SAP, and the ability to balance financial management with programme development activities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field (required).

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in budget management and administration.

  • Knowledge of the UN common system is required.

  • Proficiency in UMOJA SAP is required.

  • Additional technical training in office management or administration is an asset.

  • Strong analytical, financial management, and reporting skills.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Fluency in English (oral and written) required; knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.
