Field Sales Officer – Boda Loans

About the Role
MOGO Uganda is seeking dynamic and results-driven Field Sales Officers to promote and sell our Boda loans and related financial products. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer engagement, field sales, and helping clients access affordable financing solutions that improve their livelihoods.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets for Boda loans and other MOGO products.
Conduct field visits to identify, engage, and enroll eligible customers.
Explain loan terms, repayment options, and product benefits clearly and persuasively to potential clients.
Ensure all customer applications meet company qualification and compliance standards.
Follow up on client payment commitments to ensure timely repayments and minimize loan defaults.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and payment schedules in the company’s ERP system.
Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating complex issues when necessary.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage retention and repeat business.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product and sales strategy improvements.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in loan and sales operations.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Branch Manager.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Proven experience in field sales, customer engagement, or loan administration — preferably in the Boda or microfinance sector.
Strong understanding of sales techniques, credit processes, and portfolio management.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems or sales tracking software.
Ability to analyze market trends and identify new sales opportunities.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards in financial services.
Highly self-motivated and target-oriented, with the ability to work independently in the field.
Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma; a Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is an added advantage.
Mobility: Valid driver’s license or ability to travel within assigned areas is preferred.
