Job Description
The Field Business Development Officer will play a key role in expanding the company’s customer base, increasing service uptake, and enhancing market visibility for Kaso Logistics’ transport and logistics solutions. This position involves regular field engagement with potential clients, conducting market research, promoting services, and supporting sales activities. The role requires a proactive, target‑driven professional capable of building and maintaining strong relationships across diverse client segments.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Business Growth & Market Expansion
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through field visits, cold outreach, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform strategic plans.
- Develop and implement action plans to achieve set sales targets and revenue goals.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients and manage leads effectively to convert into business opportunities.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with new and existing clients to foster repeat business and referrals.
- Conduct regular face‑to‑face meetings with customers to understand their transport and logistics needs.
- Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, quotations, and presentations that address client requirements.
- Provide after‑sales support and follow‑ups to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Sales & Reporting
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets assigned by management.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), maintain accurate sales records, and report progress regularly.
- Prepare business development reports, market updates, and insights for senior management.
