Job Description
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure timely mobilization, recruitment and registration of sorghum farmers
- Ensure land preparation, planting, weeding and harvesting activities are carried out on time
- Implement soil fertility, moisture conservation and crop rotation practices
- Identify and verify acreage and input requirements
- Monitor crop throughout the growth cycle and provide technical guidance
- Promote adoption of mechanization and new farming technologies
- Assist in recovery of input costs advanced to farmers
- Maintain accurate database of seed distribution and planted acreage
- Prepare and submit timely monthly reports
